| Good morning. In less than one week, cosplayers will join others from around the world at the LBCC. And you will be participating in the largest convention in the history of cosplay. "Cosplay." That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it's fate that today is the last weekend before AX, and you will once again be sewing for your freedom... Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution... but from unfinished costumes. We are sewing for our right to fandom. And should we win the day, the weekend before AX will no longer be known as any old weekend, but as the weekend the cosplayers declared in one voice: "We will not show up in street clothes! We're going to cosplay on!" Today we celebrate our independence day! Or something like it. |
i found that interesting. Somebody posted that in LionBoogy's Journal entry.
