ok! For Anime Expo 2009, Team Reddaemon will be doing Dirge of Cerberus. We missed our opportunity this year, but we won't give up on it, especially since we already started on it, lol.

Thats all i had to say. So that I can keep reminding myself the tasks I have to do.


I will update later, in the future, about my Anime Expo 08 experience. And I'll be heading to Comic Con in my sari costume too, so i plan to make a journal entry about that too.

After having a good dose of AX, Im happy to watch even more anime now. I'm totally gonna get into Death Note more. And I am gonna BUY that statue that I have a picture of. Hellsing's Walter Bust Figure. I saw it there, but I decided to not get it. lol! How sad. Quite possibly my only bad move. But other than that, I am pretty happy with what I got.

And I wanna go to Burger King to get those Transformers toy. XD

Bought some plushies, Gundam Model, Comic Books (not MANGA, i really mean comic books), a new bag, a figure, and DVDs. : )

The Masquerade was a huge mess backstage, but all in all I learned more than ever about different stuff. New techniques for costume making. Masquerade Procedures. Experience. And just a whole new way of looking at things.

The LBCC staff were not very cooperative with the AX either. Which led to a whole lot of miscommunications, messups, and brain splody.

2-3 days left.

Tues - Buckles and Designs.
Wed - Stephanie's Sword.
Thursday - Left overs from costume that still need to be done & Wig.
Friday - Check in, practice skit.

Good morning. In less than one week, cosplayers will join others from around the world at the LBCC. And you will be participating in the largest convention in the history of cosplay. "Cosplay." That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it's fate that today is the last weekend before AX, and you will once again be sewing for your freedom... Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution... but from unfinished costumes. We are sewing for our right to fandom. And should we win the day, the weekend before AX will no longer be known as any old weekend, but as the weekend the cosplayers declared in one voice: "We will not show up in street clothes! We're going to cosplay on!" Today we celebrate our independence day! Or something like it.

i found that interesting. Somebody posted that in LionBoogy's Journal entry.

We worked....from 2pm to 12 am. I drove from home to downtown then to hollywood. Parking was horrible. Traffic was horrible. Makeup was expensive. I'm tired.

I tried on the contacts steph had. And I ended buying some myself. Not bad. Felt wierd on my eyes. But eh. Twas a different experience.

We got back home at like...8. Then ate for an hour. Then recorded somemore. We were suppose to finish by today. But we had alot of technical difficulties. So Monday is most likely the day we'll finish. Since they have free time on Monday only.

Monday is when my class starts. Bleh.

Anyways. Bought my fabric. Tired.

Working on the armor around the hips. Already made the shape, just need to color and attact it to belt. Uh... I'm starting to paper mache the arm gauntlet thingies, so that the surface is smoother.

Finished making the shape for the tip of the sword. I think I need to trim it a bit. And the armor peices on the sword I need to paper mache too, cuz its not very smooth looking. Theeeen..... (hopefully once thats all done) I can start coloring the armor peices.

I still need to look for stickers to put on my costume. >.< GUH.

Started to trim the tail peice.

Made the pattern for the back side designs. The ones with the symbols on it. Annnnnd... oh ya, I finished shaping the shoe armor. Just need to paint it black now.


So I still need to color the Side armor, shoulder armor, hand gauntlets, shoe armor, sword armor, tip blade of sword. Then draw designs and paint the sword in the places I know needs painting. And draw designs on bathing suit. Then Shape the belts to fit around me. Make more belt like things to fit around my arms, thighs, and legs. Make the flaps that go over the boots. Cut out and paint the back side designs. Style wig.

Can I finish all this in 4 weeks??? XD I better!

Oh, and for the skit.. I need to voice record the narration.

Luckily, this week will be my last week having Guitar class in the morning. Soooo, more time to work on costume. >.>;; GUH! 4 weeks!!! I seriously need to start scheduling all this. To make it in time.

Must stop doing hw! And paying attention to class! XD

Anyways, time to play .hack//G.U. SHHHHHH!! I need a break after working on my costume since 1...:30. XD

I've spent so much money already. Guh!  This has to be by far the most work i've ever done for a costume.  But I guess it's because I'm planning to be judged on it at the Masquerade.  I'm even going so far as to get contact lenses.  (yes, I just decided today) I'm wondering if I should still order that Gothic Lolita Dress.  x3  [Cosmates Dress] Anyways, on to the money eating list!

Yey! My thumbs hurt because of it. But im glad I have it.  WONDERFLEX!  The molds  are in it's rough stages right now, but later I'll smooth it out and fix up the edges.

I was able to finish making the basic parts of the armor for the sword, and then tomorrow I shall work on the shoulder armor parts. That is.. If I am not working to finish my research paper which is due on Tues.  :D   I hate my english class.

6 weeks and counting!  Where is the Masq. Sign ups?   (T.T)  I hope it doesn't finally show up while im at school.

I have my wig right now. But I'll work on that later.  I still need hairspray and whatnot. I heard got2b hairspray was good. And I still need to straighten out the hair with hot water. (bleh) In the meantime, I must work my way to persuade my mom to let me use eye contacts. The costume will look better with Red Contacts!
